FAQ

Questions about Pavvy

Find quick answers about how the marketplace works for Senders and independent Drivers.

General

What is Pavvy?

Pavvy is an Alberta-first, rural-first courier marketplace built around trips already happening.

Who carries the item?

Independent Drivers use their own vehicles and choose whether an opportunity fits a trip they are already planning. Pavvy is a marketplace facilitator; it does not operate a delivery fleet.

Where is Pavvy available?

Current public service information is shown on Pavvy’s Website. Exact availability depends on route fit, item eligibility, applicable review and Driver acceptance.

What if no Driver accepts?

A delivery only proceeds when a compatible independent Driver chooses to accept it. Matching and timing are not guaranteed.

Can I track a delivery on the Website?

Website tracking will show the latest verified delivery status when tracking is available for your delivery.

Senders

Can I place an order on pavvy.ca?

Online ordering is not currently available on pavvy.ca. When it is available, you will be able to continue from the same Sender flow after reviewing your estimate.

Do I need an account to get an estimate?

No. Pavvy’s intended flow lets you see the Estimate before unnecessary account or contact details are requested. Sign in or account creation comes later when needed to proceed with an order or protected account functions.

How does pricing work?

Pavvy calculates the Sender quote using road-route distance from pickup to drop-off, together with other approved factors where applicable. Pavvy does not use Sender bidding or price negotiation.

Can the Recipient pay the delivery charge?

If Recipient Pays is offered during the order flow, the Recipient must separately authorize the delivery charge before matching.

What can be sent?

Pavvy uses Eligible / Manual Review / Prohibited goods categories. Items over 25 kg and oversized or irregular items require Manual Review. The applicable item rules are checked before a request can proceed.

Drivers

Does Pavvy set a Driver’s route or schedule?

No. The model is built around trips the Driver is already planning. Pavvy can surface compatible opportunities, but the Driver decides what fits.

Does accepting one opportunity mean I must accept others?

No. Drivers choose individual opportunities independently. There are no fixed shifts or mandatory assignments in the intended model.

How do I become a Driver?

Driver registration is not currently open. When it becomes available, the Become a Driver entry will guide you through the registration flow. Drivers remain independent providers and decide which opportunities fit.
